WBolthouse Farms juice in place of fruit??
I recently have really gotten "into" the Bolthouse Farms juice collection. I really try to get in the reccommened amount of fruits and veggies in my diet....but sometimes I think it's just much easier to grab a beverage that "claims" to be 100% natural...with the right about of fruits and veggies and no sugar added. Do you guys think it'd be okay if I had a glass or two of Bolthouse Farms juice instead of my apple for the day...or my peach??

How do very small farms earn a living?
I've often loved the idea of just quitting everything and buying a little piece of land (say 5-10 acres) with a house and maybe and outbuilding or two - and trying to make a modest income from that - but have no idea what small farms do to make money. That's certainly not enough land to say have a dairy farm - or (I'd think) to grow enough of a crop to make much of a profit. I've thought of maybe a small greenhouse type thing - but have no idea who you would sell your product to. Does anyone know anything about this - or have any websites or books to suggest? Thanks very much!

Are animals in organic farms treated better than animals in conventional farms?
According to vegans, they say that animals in organic farms are treated with the same level of abuse in comparison with conventional animals. Is this true?

Are there animal farms out there that practice anti animal cruelty?
I looked at the website Goveg.com. Wow! is all i have to say. Let me just say, I am by no means trying to go vegetarian, but i would like animals i'm going to consume (eww it sound really gross) to be killed humanely and also for the other foods i eat to not be polluted with chemicals and pestisides. Are there any farms and crops that are like this??
